The creation of the Community Hebrew School of Bergen County is the result of the cooperative effort between Congregation B’nai Sholom/FairLawn Jewish Center and the Jewish Community Center of Paramus/Congregation Beth Tikvah to seek out ways to come together. The two synagogues held joint religious services, educational programming, social activities, and youth events, all which helped to solidify plans for this new school.
Our regional Hebrew School, open to all students in the area, educates children and families from Pre-K through 7th grade, and began with remote learning in September 2020. We resumed in-person learning in September 2021. Our curriculum is rich with hands-on learning and holiday-based activities.
